It is a requirement of federal and University policy that ALL use of vertebrate animals have an approved "Animal Use Protocol" on file. There are important protocol maintenance requirements, such as a 3-year De Novo rewrite, annual continuing reviews and amendments. The Animal Use Protocol Submission Process must be submitted by the 10th of the month to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs to be considered by the University Animal Care and Facilities Committee (ACFC) during that month.
