Plant Diagnostic Laboratory Closing for Rutgers Winter Break

The Rutgers Plant Diagnostic Laboratory will be closed Monday December 23, 2024 through Wednesday January 1, 2025.

Please plan your shipments and drop-offs accordingly so that samples are received either early during the previous week or after the lab is open again on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Please read the Sample Submission Instructions for use of these forms.

    Athletic Fields, Golf Courses, Lawns, Sod Farms, etc.
  2. Landscape, Home Grounds, and Garden (659k PDF)
    Ornamental trees, shrubs, flowers, perennials, etc. and vegetable plants from any landscape, garden, interior-scape, etc.
  3. Commercial Growers (514k PDF)
    Farms, Greenhouses, Nurseries, etc. Sod Growers, please use the Turfgrass form.
  4. Nematode Soil Assay (221k PDF)
  5. Insect and Tick Identification (601k PDF)
    Not intended for use with suspected insect pest problems associated with plants. Instead, please use the appropriate Landscape, Turfgrass, or Commercial Growers form. For Household, Storage, Structural, etc. insect pest ID only.
