Goldenrod

Solidago spp.

Goldenrod is often falsely accused of causing hayfever but this plant is pollinated by insects and sheds very little pollen. It just happens to bloom at the same time as ragweed, the biggest offender. These perennial weeds are problems in perennial crops such as Christmas trees, blueberries and pastures.
