The Southern Pine Beetle (SPB) Dendroctonus frontalis is a forest pest that attacks stands of pine trees in New Jersey. The New Jersey Forest Service has seen a dramatic increase of SPB infestations in Atlantic, Cape May, Ocean, and Cumberlands Counties.
