Linda Strieter began her career with Rutgers Cooperative Extension (RCE) of Gloucester County in January 2003. She holds a Master of Arts in Educational Public Relations from Rowan University. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the School for Human Development at Syracuse University.

Linda's responsibilities in RCE include developing, planning and conducting all aspects of the Gloucester County 4-H youth development program which is built upon a strong 4-H club base and related educational activities for youth grade K-13. She supervises and guides two county program staff and two county clerical staff who work together as a team to share the tasks and responsibilities of running the county 4-H program.

Her responsibilities also include coordinating a county-wide comprehensive public speaking program and providing appropriate recognition for the accomplishments of youth, adult volunteers and teen leaders. She provides encouragement and active support of youth participation at county, regional, state and national educational events and programs. She develops and implements appropriate evaluation tools, collects and analyzes data, and documents results on a regular basis through county and state reports.

Linda manages and provides overall support and leadership to the 4-H volunteer program in Gloucester County 4-H. She identifies, recruits, and screens potential volunteers. She orients, trains, supports and evaluates volunteers who implement 4-H programs for county youth in accordance with RCE and 4-H Department policies and procedures. She reviews volunteer performance on a regular basis. As an ex-officio member, she works integrally with advisory groups, including the Gloucester County 4-H Association and the Gloucester County 4-H Fair Association in planning and conducting educational events and programs. She is an appointed and active member of the Gloucester County Youth Services Commission.

Linda participates in 4-H Department meetings and RCE annual meetings. She serves on the 4-H Volunteer Management Committee where she works with other NJ 4-H professionals on all management aspects related to 4-H volunteerism and the Family and Consumer Sciences Committee where she works on developing and expanding healthy lifestyle education and the 4-H Cloverbud (younger members) program. As requested, Linda represents RCE and/or 4-H Youth Development at the County Store, annual county budget meetings and county professional development training sessions.

Prior to her work in 4-H youth development, she was an RCE Program Associate in the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program in Camden, NJ.
