Since 1997, Lisa has been a 4-H County Agent in Somerset County, New Jersey. The Somerset County 4-H Youth Development Program is one of the largest in the state, reaching 7,000 youth annually through clubs, school enrichment, school age childcare programs and special interest programs.

Lisa has been a science educator since 1989. As a 4-H Agent, Lisa has utilized her passion for science to establish clubs, camps, and special interest programs in space and general science for the Somerset County 4-H Youth Development Program. She helps coordinate the efforts of close to 250 volunteers to continue and expand these programs. Lisa continually seeks collaborations and ideas in order to develop and implement new educational and public outreach material and programs. Presently, she is the Science, Engineering, and Technology liaison between National 4-H Council and the New Jersey 4-H Youth Development Program.

Lisa Rothenburger received a B.A. from Clark University and an M.A.T from the University of Louisville, both in Biology. She has worked for a nature center, a science museum, taught middle school science, and ran simulated space missions for a Challenger Center.
