Kathleen T. Morgan is professor and chair of the family and community health sciences department, Rutgers Cooperative Extension, Rutgers University. She has been with Rutgers Cooperative Extension/Rutgers University since 1993. Her undergraduate degrees are from Rutgers University and her doctorate from Drew University. She has been the PI on several grants related to nutrition, child obesity, osteoporosis, worksite wellness, and most recently two USDA Team Nutrition grants.
She is currently providing leadership to several national projects related to nutrition, chronic disease prevention and health promotion. Dr. Morgan has expertise in the area of health promotion, nutrition, advancing health equities, food systems, worksite wellness, healthy aging, and building healthy communities. Dr. Morgan's goal is to improve the health of individuals, families, and communities through health promotion efforts and reducing chronic disease. Dr. Morgan is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior, the National Extension Association for Family and Consumer Sciences, and the American Association for Family and Consumer Sciences.
