Animal Protocol Review

It is a requirement of federal and University policy that ALL use of vertebrate animals have an approved "Animal Use Protocol" on file. There are important protocol maintenance requirements, such as a 3-year De Novo rewrite, annual continuing reviews and amendments. The Animal Use Protocol Review Form must be submitted by the 10th of the month to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs to be considered by the University Animal Care and Facilities Committee (ACFC) during that month. There are no meetings in August or November. Protocols must be received by November 15 to be reviewed at the December meeting.
